Local area featured on hunting show

The La Escalera Ranch recently hosted Keith Warren of Hunting & Outdoor Adventures television show and Ron Coburn, CEO of Savage Arms, on a desert mule deer hunt. Warren and his crew videotaped the hunt with Fort Stockton's Billy Jackson. "This will be one of the best shows we have ever done," said Warren. The crew videotaped over 20 different mule deer bucks on the trip including a 5 x 5 mule deer that was taken by Coburn. "This area is one of the best kept secrets there is regarding mule deer. The deer are plentiful, larger than expected and the country is breathtakingly beautiful. The Lydas, the ranch owners, have done a wonderful job in managing the La Escalera," said Warren. The desert mule deer hunt will be featured on Hunting & Outdoor Adventures with Keith Warren and will broadcast nationally on The Outdoor Channel.
